Just a little information
Aug. 12th, 2012 06:32 pmKoizumi Suzume is the second daughter of a wealthy family from Shimizu-ku. Her father owns a large fishing company and her mother is a housewife. Both she and her older sister displayed an early talent for the arts - her for singing and piano in particular - and after a trip to Takarazuka when she was six, she decided she wanted to attend the Takarazuka Music School. Her older sister was also actively pursuing acceptance to the school.
Suzume was accepted into the music school at age seventeen on her second try (her older sister was accepted on the first try) and did reasonably well while at school. Singing remained her strongest talent, while dancing was/is her weakest, though she is by no means a bad dancer. She was sorted as a musumeyaku after her first year, and upon completing her second year became a member of Yukigumi, where she remains to this day.
She gets along well with her troupe, and has a few close friends in troupe - two of her batchmates were also sorted Yukigumi. She wants to be noticed and be given larger roles, but is content with the roles she's been given so far. She wants to be a top musumeyaku one day, like her older sister before her, and is often compared to her older sister by the older members of her troupe, even though her sister was a Soragumi girl. She tries to pitch her performances in a different style to her sister's - she thinks her first shinjin koen lead helped to showcase the differences between them on stage, and to portray an off-stage image different to her sister's.
Suzume's off-stage persona is unassuming, polite, and cheerful, but not excessively so. She is a little silly at times, but tries to hide that by hiding behind a camera lens when she can. Let others do the silly things; she'll record them for posterity and keep herself free from gossip. She wishes she could be a little more cool, like the current top musumeyaku, but she and her friends are a bit too giggly for that sort of image.
Even though she dislikes always being compared to her sister, the two are very close. They write letters to each other often, even though they text daily. She was supportive of her older sister's shows, and her sister is likewise supportive of hers - they have joked that each should be the other's fan club president. Her sister recently married, and has moved back closer to their parents, but she still comes to see at least one performance of each show Suzume is in.
